Do you want to build your speed in Addition?

When you see a set of numbers do you want to learn how to add them in your head, without using the calculator?

Is it Possible?

The answer is YES!!!!

To begin with

1. You need to master single digit addition. You only need to memorize two single digit numbers. Does it sound intimidating? It is not. Refer to the table given below.

These are the only pairs you need to know.

Refer to the table above and answer the following:

a. Which pair of numbers will give you a total of 10?

b. when you add two single digit numbers whose total is more than 10, Which digit gets carried over.?

c. 9 is the highest single digit. When you add 9 + 9 what is the result? 

We can conclude that when you add 2 single digits your result cannot be higher than 18.
